Fuel required is fuel expected to be burned before landing. It defaults to 60 lb; it is not a reserve calculation.

    How this calculation works

Moment = weight × arm. CG = total moment ÷ total weight. The published empty moment is retained, rather than recalculated from the rounded empty arm. Zero-fuel weight includes passengers, baggage, and any de-icing fluid. Fuel loading is added; start/taxi fuel and planned fuel burn are subtracted at their own tank arms.

The envelope uses weight-dependent forward and aft limits. Takeoff, landing, and zero-fuel positions are checked, along with applicable weight and baggage limits. Twin-engine profiles also test de-icing fluid depletion and both main/auxiliary fuel-burn orders. Ramp is checked against its separate mass limit, not the flight envelope. These checks do not validate fuel reserves, lateral tank imbalance, baggage restraint, aircraft modification eligibility, or all operating restrictions.

The calculator checks the school on opening and every five minutes while open. Recognizable new amendments update automatically. If a new scan, loading rule, diagram, missing source, or inconsistent row cannot be verified, the affected aircraft’s calculation pauses instead of silently using old data.

    SOURCES & USE

Know where the numbers come from.

Weight and balance, takeoff, and landing information is sourced from Genesis Flight College’s documents and resources. Takeoff and landing estimates use the fixed charts supplied for this calculator.

The weight-and-balance calculator checks the Genesis website for the latest available aircraft sheets and amendments. It automatically applies recognizable updates; if a changed document cannot be verified, the affected calculation pauses. The amendment used is shown beside each aircraft.

Use at your own discretion. Verify all results against the aircraft’s current official documents before flight.
